IRS contribution limitsWhile the STAR 401(k) Plan allows you to contribute up to 50% of pay, the IRS does set the maximum you can contribute each calendar year. The general limit for 2013 has been increased to $17,500. If you are age 50 or older, you can contribute an additional $5,500, for a total of $23,000
